Welcome to the Aquarian Tabernacle Church of Wicca, Africa

ATC Africa covers the continent of Africa and is a fellowship ministering, worshipping, and working together for a brighter tomorrow.

Welcome to the Aquarian Tabernacle Church of Wicca Africa, a sacred space dedicated to the spiritual growth and enlightenment of our community. Here, we honour the ancient traditions of Wicca, fostering a deep connection with the divine and the natural world. Our church serves as a beacon for seekers of wisdom, offering guidance, support, and a sense of belonging. Under the stewardship of experienced elders, we uphold the sacred teachings and practices that have been passed down through generations. Join us in celebrating the cycles of nature, embracing the old Gods, and walking a path of harmony, balance, and spiritual fulfilment.

Since its inception in 1979 by the late Pete “Pathfinder” Davis, ATC International has stood as an inclusive sanctuary for Wiccans and pagans from diverse traditions. Pete’s tireless activism played a pivotal role in securing recognition for Wicca as a legitimate religion by federal and state governments, including the right to display the pentacle on veterans’ headstones. Additionally, he established the sole Wiccan seminary authorized by the state to grant academic degrees in the Wiccan Ministry.

ATC remains committed to carrying forward Pete’s legacy, enhancing the spiritual well-being of all individuals, regardless of their tradition, and so does ATC Africa.

ATC Africa extends its reach throughout the continent of Africa, fostering a foundation where Wiccans can unite, practice their faith, and thrive within a supportive community. Guided by the Lady, the Lord, and the wisdom of elders, this safe environment encourages learning, growth, and connection.

Our Statement of Belief

As Pantheists, we perceive ourselves as intricately connected to everything—an indivisible, supreme, infinite energy known across cultures as “The All,” the “Great Mother,” or the Tao. This energy perpetually divides and expresses itself in myriad ways while maintaining a universal equilibrium between its projective and receptive aspects. For our human understanding, we often liken this force to holy parents, referring to Deity as both “God and Goddess.”

Our beliefs centre on polarity— the recognition that all things contain strengths and weaknesses, triumphs and failures. Each person embodies an aspect of Deity, whole and sacred. We strive to recognize and honour this divine reflection within ourselves and others.

We understand that adversity offers sacred lessons. Gratitudeaccompanies these experiences, knowing that the Goddess comprehends the mysteries of existence. Forgiveness flows toward those who participate in these interactions, for balance ultimately prevails. Events, devoid of inherent judgment exist; we choose how to label them.

Energy permeates our world through the divine and natural elements. We seek mastery over our expression of this energy, maintaining love and service for ourselves and our community. Recognizing that God/dess has already provided abundantly, we exercise free will to ensure equitable resource distribution.

Reincarnation aligns with our circular view of space and time. Just as we sleep and awaken, we journey into the Summerlands, reborn anew.

In this Universe, learning and growth unfold within safety. Even the worst experiences lead us back to the God/dess, who has been with us from the beginning and awaits us at the end of desire.

ATC Africa’s Mission

The mission of the Aquarian Tabernacle Church’s Africa chapter is to build a cohesive community of Wiccan and Pagan believers. We strive to provide a secure, structured, and nurturing support base, while also establishing, developing, and fostering communities in previously underserved regions. Our work is guided by the principles, ethics, and spirit of our mother Church.
